Knoxville Dermatology Group, in affiliation with Anne Arundel Dermatology, is seeking a Mohs Surgical Assistant NP/PA to join our surgical dermatology team in Knoxville, Tennessee.
This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position, open to both experienced providers and new graduates interested in surgical dermatology.
The Mohs Surgical Assistant NP/PA works closely with and assists the Mohs Surgeon in a high-volume surgical dermatology setting.

Responsibilities
Assist the Mohs Surgeon with surgical procedures including patient preparation, local anesthesia, and intraoperative support
Perform wound closures including suturing and basic reconstructive techniques
Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care including patient education and follow-up
Perform or support dermatologic surgical and diagnostic procedures in a high-volume Mohs setting
Support efficient surgical workflow and patient throughput in a fast-paced clinical environment
Collaborate with clinical support staff to ensure high-quality patient care and operational efficiency
Serve as a patient advocate and educator throughout the surgical process
Qualifications
NP or PA with a strong interest in surgical dermatology and Mohs procedures
Prior surgical dermatology or procedural experience preferred, but motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply
Interest in developing advanced surgical and procedural skills within a high-volume Mohs setting
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining strong attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with patients and team members
Self-motivated, adaptable, and highly organized with strong follow-through and accountability Licensure/Certifications/Education
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Current board certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Active and unrestricted Tennessee medical license or ability to obtain prior to start date
