Overview Registered Nurse, Step-down, Nights in Saint Louis, MO. Travel assignment starting 07/13/2026 for multiple weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,059 per week to $2,166 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week on a 3x12 night schedule.

Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care to adult high-acuity step-down patients on a 3:4 nurse-to-patient ratio with HARDSTOP competencies
Ventilator care, alarm troubleshooting, and titration of ventilation support as required
Titrate vasopressors and sedation drips; manage insulin drips per protocol
Manage arterial lines and chest tubes; tracheostomy care for ventilator-dependent patients
Monitor cardiac rhythms, identify arrhythmias, and respond to changes; collaborate with Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy, and Social Work
Document care and assessments in EPIC; participate in daily rounds and ensure patient safety and transitions of care
Requirements
RN license: active licensure; pending license accepted per assignment policies
Certifications: ACLS, BLS (BCLS), NIHSS
Experience: minimum 2 years RN experience; recent bedside experience within last 6 months; travel experience required; trauma Level II experience required; first-timers not accepted; prior charge experience preferred
Skills: proficient with ventilator management, arterial lines, chest tubes, and post-op cardiac/neurologic care; comfortable with EPIC charting
Vaccination: flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required
Additional: non-local travel candidate; local candidates within 75 miles are not eligible
