Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-procedure nursing care for endoscopy patients, including vital signs, assessments, and discharge planning
• Assist physicians and staff during endoscopic procedures, maintaining sterile technique and proper equipment readiness
• Monitor sedation/analgesia per policy and respond to patient condition changes during procedures
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans using established nursing models; document in the medical record and communicate with the interdisciplinary team using SBAR
• Participate in a virtual nursing staffing model designed to maximize bedside time and reduce time spent on documentation
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure patient safety and quality care on a fast-paced unit; participate in ongoing quality improvement activities

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Michigan
• BLS (AHA) certification
• Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy RN experience
• Ability to work in a hospital setting and in a fast-paced environment
• Weekend/on-call coverage is not required but may be available
