Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile fields and assist the surgical team by passing instruments, implants, and supplies; maintain strict sterile technique
• Maintain accurate instrument, sponge, and item counts; anticipate needs during procedures
• Set up, verify, and break down operating rooms; ensure equipment and supplies are readily available
• Assist surgeons intraoperatively; handle specimens and assist with wound care as directed
• Adhere to infection prevention and safety protocols; document perioperative details per policy
• Communicate clearly with anesthesia, nursing, and surgical teams to support patient care and workflow

Requirements

• Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
• Travel assignment experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience
• Burn experience preferred
• Available for day shift with call on weekends and holidays; able to participate in on-call coverage
• Strong teamwork, communication, and attention to detail
