• More information about Southridge can be found online: https://southridgebh.com/ Description Licensed Practical Nurses LPN carry out the daily routines of patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse and House Supervisor: Provides direct patient care according to nursing care plans and the patient’s treatment plan.
• Participates with other personnel in maintaining a safe and therapeutic milieu.
• Assists with behavior management, crisis control, seclusion and restraint, under the direction of the registered nurse.
• Partners with RN with patient admissions and discharges.
• Administers medication and treatments to patients.
• Assists with medication education, informed consent and monitoring the effectiveness and efficacy of medications.
• Documents the administration of medications and treatments according to policies and procedures.

• 2 12-hour shifts, 7am-7:30pm.
• Every other weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Job Requirements Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Basic understanding of psychiatric nursing theory, and practice, with previous psychiatric clinical experience desired.
• Demonstrated clinical competency in providing general nursing care.
• Current LPN Licensure in the State of Michigan Required.
