The Clinical Resource Surgical Technician assists surgeons and staff before, during, and after surgery to ensure quality patient care. They act as a clinical specialist responsible for securing necessary supplies, instrumentation, and vendor resources for specific service lines.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and a BCLS certification upon hire. Four years of experience as a Surgical Technician in an acute-care setting and CST certification are preferred.
The Clinical Resource Surgical Technician helps to facilitate quality patient care by assisting the surgeon and staff before, during, and after surgery. Serves as a clinical specialist for designated service line, and is responsible for ensuring appropriate resources (supplies, instrumentation, vendor resources, etc.) are available for each case. Will also serve as a liaison between surgeon and other parties as appropriate to secure resources in advance of surgery. Maintains surgeon preference cards and assists with onboarding activities for new surgeons.
Education H.S.
