The Cardiologist is responsible for diagnosing and treating heart diseases through patient examinations and the study of diagnostic images and electrocardiograph recordings. They also prescribe medications and recommend dietary and activity programs to improve patient health.
Candidates must possess and maintain a Physician's License from the State of North Carolina and DEA certifications. They must also be a member in good standing of the hospital's Medical Staff.
The Cardiologist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating diseases of the heart and its functions by: examining patient for symptoms indicative of heart disorders using medical instruments and equipment; as well as studying diagnostic images and electrocardiograph recordings to aid in making diagnoses, prescribing medications and recommending dietary and activity programs, as indicated.
