The Monitor Technician is responsible for analyzing cardiac rhythms and monitoring patient telemetry data to identify baseline rhythms and changes. They must notify nursing staff of critical rhythm changes and maintain the technical operation of the central monitoring station.
Candidates must be high school graduates with a BLS certification and have passed an ECG competency assessment. One year of experience as a Monitor Technician is highly preferred.
Licensure/Certification BLS/Health Care provider certification required. Experience 1 year of Monitor Technician with prior related experience highly preferred.
