The RN-ICU is responsible for continuous monitoring, advanced patient care, and managing life-support systems for critically ill patients. They must collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to stabilize patients during emergencies and provide support to families.
Candidates must possess a New Mexico RN license, an Associate's degree in Nursing, and BLS certification. ACLS and PALS certifications are required within six months of hire, with one year of ICU experience preferred.

🏥 1. Patient Assessment & Critical Monitoring
Perform detailed and continuous patient assessments Monitor vital signs, neurological status, and organ function Interpret data from advanced equipment (cardiac monitors, ventilators) Detect subtle changes in patient condition and act quickly
💉 2. Advanced Patient Care
Administer IV medications, including high-risk drips (vasopressors, sedatives) Manage life-support systems such as ventilators and feeding tubes Provide wound care and post-surgical care for critical patients Assist in procedures like intubation and central line placement
⚙️ 3. Equipment Management
Operate and monitor ICU equipment (ventilators, infusion pumps, dialysis machines) Ensure all devices are functioning correctly Troubleshoot technical issues when needed
🚨 4. Emergency Response
Respond immediately to life-threatening situations (cardiac arrest, respiratory failure) Perform CPR and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) Stabilize patients during emergencies

Work closely with intensivists, physicians, and specialists Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and care planning Communicate critical updates about patient status
