The Audiologist diagnoses hearing loss and provides aural rehabilitative services, including the administration of hearing tests and the prescription of hearing aids. They are also responsible for performing neural telemetry testing in the operating room and maintaining clinical equipment.
Candidates must have at least 6 months of experience and be a Certified Audiologist. Required certifications include Basic Life Support and licensure from the ASHA and the Louisiana Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
