Overview HOPE Community Services, Inc. is a leading outpatient treatment provider in south Oklahoma City. We provide compassionate trauma informed care to individuals whose lives have been impacted by mental health and substance use disorders. We do this by providing compassionate and evidence-based treatment, aimed at improving the quality of life for those we serve.
We are seeking a Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) to join our Welcoming team. This position plays an important role in creating a positive and supportive first experience for individuals entering services at HOPE Community Services.
Have you experienced your own recovery journey from mental illness or substance use? Are you passionate about helping others feel safe, supported, and encouraged as they begin treatment? If so, this position could be a meaningful next step in your career.
As a Peer Recovery Support Specialist on the Welcoming team, you will help create a compassionate, recovery-focused environment for individuals entering services at HOPE Community Services. Drawing from your lived experience, you’ll provide peer support, encouragement, advocacy, and guidance to help clients feel safe, welcomed, and connected during the intake and orientation process.
This role focuses on building trust, reducing anxiety around entering treatment, and helping individuals navigate the early stages of care. You’ll assist clients with understanding available services, accessing community resources, identifying recovery goals, and connecting to the supports they need to begin treatment successfully.
You will work closely with Access staff, therapists, case managers, and other team members to ensure clients receive a supportive and trauma-informed introduction to services. This position also includes documentation responsibilities, coordination of referrals, and opportunities to provide support in both office and community settings.
