Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Peer Support Specialist to join our dedicated team. Responsibilities

• Provide peer support by sharing personal recovery experiences to inspire hope and motivation.
• Assist clients in developing personalized wellness plans aligned with their goals.
• Offer crisis intervention and crisis management to de-escalate situations effectively.
• Support clients through behavioral health challenges using motivational interviewing techniques.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate care plans and ensure continuity of support services.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Mentor clients in developing life skills, fostering independence, and strengthening social connections.

Requirements

• Lived experience with mental health conditions or substance use recovery, demonstrating resilience and insight.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention, crisis management, and behavioral health principles.
• Familiarity with mental health counseling techniques, motivational interviewing, and addiction counseling.
• Experience in mentoring or social work is highly desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in an integrated health setting.
• Strong communication skills with the capacity to build trusting relationships with diverse populations.
• Proficiency in using EHR systems for documentation and record keeping.
