What You’ll Be Doing As a Respiratory Therapist at Baystate, you’ll evaluate, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary conditions under physician direction while serving as a key member of the care team.
Responsibilities include: Managing airways and ventilators across varying levels of acuity Performing diagnostic testing and interpreting results Administering respiratory therapies and pulmonary care modalities Participating in emergency response and critical care interventions Educating patients and families on treatment plans and disease management Supporting discharge planning and chronic disease management initiatives Every shift offers opportunities to apply advanced clinical decision-making while making a direct impact on patient outcomes.
What You Bring Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program (Associate’s degree required) Massachusetts Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) eligible or licensed Current CPR certification (ACLS preferred) Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient-centered care skills Experience in acute care, critical care, NICU, PICU, or emergency response environments preferred THE ADVANTAGES OF WORKING WITH BAYSTATE!
