The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Key duties include performing basic nursing treatments, documenting patient responses, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Candidates must hold a current Licensed Practical Nurse license and a current CPR certification. Up to one year of work-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and training is required.
Under the leadership of the departmental Nursing Director and the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing culturally sensitive care that is appropriate for the patient’s developmental age. The Licensed Practical Nurse effectively interacts with patients, family members, and other health team members, follows the nursing plan of care as it has been formulated, and maintains the standards of professional nursing.
Requires up to one year of work-related experience, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Requires a current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse and a current CPR certification.
• Contributes to the development of the nursing plan of care through planning, data collection, implementation, and evaluation of the patient’s care.
· Performs other related job duties as assigned to assure resident safety.
