Evaluate and treat patients with speech, hearing, swallowing, and cognitive disabilities in a skilled nursing facility. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans while collaborating with nursing staff and physicians.
Requires a Bachelor of Science in Speech Language Pathology and a valid state license. CPR certification is mandatory, and six months of experience in long-term care is preferred.
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will evaluate and treat residents/patients with temporary or long-term speech, hearing, swallowing, and cognitive disabilities in compliance with state and federal guidelines. They will evaluate the resident’s/patient’s speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, and fluency and develop treatment plans. They will treat the residents/patients based on a physician’s treatment plan.
Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
Current license in Speech Language Therapy as required by state law. Valid CPR certification required.
Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
