The Clinical Pharmacist provides safe and effective pharmaceutical care, managing patient drug therapy and ensuring the appropriateness of medication orders. They serve as a primary resource for drug information and participate in the training and precepting of new employees and students.
A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and a Virginia Pharmacist License are required, along with BLS certification. A Doctorate degree, ACLS certification, and previous hospital or residency experience are preferred.
