The Phlebotomist is responsible for the accurate collection and processing of blood specimens while maintaining detailed clerical documentation. They must ensure specimen integrity and adhere to safety and infection control policies to support patient care.
A high school diploma and CPR certification are required, while a certified phlebotomy program and certification are preferred. Candidates should have either a phlebotomy externship or one year of relevant experience.
