Responsible for respiratory assessment, treatment, and evaluation within a Level III NICU. Provides critical respiratory care for high-risk deliveries and pediatric emergencies while collaborating with medical and nursing staff.
Requires an associate degree in respiratory care, an Ohio state license, and CRT/RRT credentials. BLS and NRP certifications are required within 90 days, and 2 years of Level III NICU experience is preferred.
The incumbent will be responsible for the respiratory assessment, therapeutic treatment, evaluation, testing, education and communication as it pertains to the Level III NICU. The incumbent will also provide respiratory care as needed for all high risk deliveries and pediatric emergencies.
Associate degree in respiratory care and a graduate of AMA /CoARC accredited program for Respiratory Care.
Holds and maintains an Ohio license to practice respiratory care.
CRT /RRT credential by the NBRC. BLS and NRP for health care providers must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.

The neonatal respiratory therapist has advanced knowledge and skills in all aspects of neonatal respiratory care, as it pertains to the Level III NICU. The neonatal respiratory therapist interfaces with medical staff, nursing staff, and other allied health practitioners, as well as patients, their families and their caregivers.
