Medical Laboratory Technician - Registered - Split Shift

• Associate's Degree (Required)
• Up to 1 year experience clinical experience as required by MLT program at a hospital (Required)
• Other MLT - Medical Technician - Certified from ASCP American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or American Medical Technologists (AMT) Upon Hire Required

Job Overview

• This position is responsible for performing a full range of laboratory tests, confirming the accuracy of test results, and reporting laboratory findings to the doctors, pathologists, or other physicians.
• This position may work in any of the major areas of the laboratory: Transfusion Service, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology/Immunology, Toxicology, Special Chemistry and Fibrinolysis.
• Operates and maintains a variety of laboratory instruments.
• Utilizes laboratory computer system in performance of duties.
• This position maintains strict adherence to established policies and procedures and works under the supervision of a general supervisor or medical technologist.
• Direct supervision is not required for specimen processing, test performance or result reporting.
