The RN implements and evaluates total patient care for acute and chronic wounds, enterostomy, and hyperbaric treatments. They are also responsible for providing education on infection control and preventive care to patients and caregivers.
Requires an Associate's Degree in Nursing, at least 2 years of nursing experience, and a valid IL or MI Registered Nurse license. A Bachelor's degree and Wound Care or ACLS certifications are preferred.
Weekends - $3.25/hour *Will need to float to the St. Mary Medical Center Wound Clinic in Galesburg when needed*
The RN Wound/Enterostomy implements and evaluates the activities for total patient care, following outlined protocols, in the delivery of acute and chronic wound care, enterostomy care, and hyperbaric treatments. Will demonstrate competency in and be responsible for treating various types of patients seen including critically ill and chronically ill patients, ranging in age from pediatric to geriatric. Performs various educational activities, including infection control, aseptic dressing technique, and preventive care. Educates patient, significant other and/or caretaker, including a return demonstration within the Medical Center and community. Area of focus may be inpatient or outpatient.
