The Physical Therapist evaluates, administers, and directs therapeutic procedures in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as prescribed, establishing treatment plans using various methods like exercises and hands-on therapy to ease pain and aid recovery. This role involves establishing therapy goals, regularly reassessing patient progress with appropriate documentation, and communicating with patients, families, and other professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Candidates must possess a Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school, and new graduates are acceptable for this position. Required credentials include South Carolina Board Certification or eligibility, a current Driver’s License, and current BLS certification.

This job classification is required to care for patients of all ages. Communicates with patients, families, peers, and other professionals as needed to provide continuity of care. Evaluates and treats patients recovering from injury, disease, surgery, or other ailments. Establishes treatment plans and treats patients using a variety of methods, including exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment to ease patients' pain and help them recover. Works cooperatively with physicians, case managers, and insurance adjusters. Documents and reports on patients' progress. May supervise physical therapy assistants, aides, and athletic trainers. Position Type: This position is a combination of both inpatient and outpatient care.
