As a Pharmacy Technician, you play an important part in safely delivering medications to patients who need them. You’ll work closely with licensed pharmacists to prepare, package, and distribute medications—both routine and specialized—helping ensure every patient receives the right treatment at the right time. What You’ll Do In this role, you’ll support day-to-day pharmacy operations and help keep everything running smoothly. You will: Prepare, compound, package, and label medications under pharmacist supervision Assist with dispensing medications for patient prescriptions and treatment orders Handle both hazardous and non-hazardous medications with care and accuracy Support medication distribution across the organization Help maintain inventory, ensuring medications are stocked and stored properly Follow quality, safety, and compliance standards set by state and federal regulations Contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient pharmacy workspace Provide guidance and support to Pharmacy Assistants and team members when needed What You’ll Bring We’re looking for someone who is dependable, collaborative, and committed to patient safety. National Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or ExCPT from National Healthcareer Association (NHA) required. 2. Registered Pharmacy Technician with NYS Office of the Professions, State Education Department. Education and Experience High school diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time pharmacy assistant or pharmacy technician experience. NOTE: 1. Incumbents must maintain the required New York State registration and national certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) as a condition of continued employment. 2. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
