Salary
$33 - $38 / HOUR
Provides quality diagnostic and screening mammography services and assists in various breast biopsy and aspiration procedures. Coordinates patient flow and center activities with multidisciplinary clinics and referring physicians.
Requires an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology and a New York State license to practice as a Radiologic Technologist. Must hold or obtain ARRT certification in mammography and BLS certification within specified timeframes.
Required Education and Experience License and Certification Requirement 1. License to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of New York. 2. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification with advanced certification in mammography or meets the MQSA standards which requires completion of at least 40 contact hours of documented training specific to mammography, with a minimum of 25 examinations, under the supervision of a qualified instructor. 3. Current Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Education and Experience 1. Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology. NOTE: 1. As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification with advanced certification in mammography within one (1) year of their appointment to this title. 2. As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain and maintain the certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within ninety (90) days of their appointment to this title. 3. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
