IMCU within a hospital setting This travel assignment is for an experienced PCU/IMCU RN to provide inpatient care on an intermediate care unit with a mix of acute and post-acute patients. ASAP start available.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to adults on the PCU/IMCU, including assessment, planning, and evaluation of care
• Monitor vital signs, observe for clinical changes, and respond to evolving conditions (sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, CKD, encephalopathy)
• Administer medications and monitoring therapies, including heparin drips, according to physician orders
• Collaborate with physicians, case management, respiratory therapy, and other disciplines to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record; ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to standards of care

Requirements

• Active RN license (Georgia) or eligibility for licensure
• Minimum 2 years of PCU/IMCU or acute care experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to work night shifts in a fast-paced IMCU environment
• Strong clinical assessment skills and critical thinking
• Adaptability to a high-acuity, high-volume hospital setting
