The Medical Assistant supports physicians and nursing staff with patient care and clinic operations. Key duties include returning phone calls, assisting with exams, and administering special procedures.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and basic knowledge of EMR and Microsoft Office. BLS certification is required within 14 days of hire, and a CMA licensure is preferred.
Working under the supervision of the physicians and Clinic Supervisor, the Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting nursing staff and providers with patient care and other duties associated with efficient running of the clinic. Phone calls are returned. Physicians are assisted with exams. Special procedures are administered according to clinic policies.
