Independently perform diagnostic cardiac echocardiology procedures and coordinate patient flow within the Cardiopulmonary Department. Maintain equipment and potentially perform other cardiology modality procedures based on departmental needs.
Requires an Associate degree in Ultrasound/Sonography and registration from CCI or ARDMS, along with CPR certification. While no prior experience is required, three years of clinical experience in echocardiography is preferred.
Independently performs diagnostic cardiac echocardiology procedures utilizing proper techniques and protocols. Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with registry in the operation of equipment. Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the Cardiopulmonary Department. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of duties in order to maintain equipment in good working condition. May perform other cardiology procedures in other modalities based on departmental needs. May have on call responsibilities.
