The Cardiovascular Sonographer is responsible for acquiring appropriate echocardiographic and/or vascular data using an advanced understanding of imaging techniques to provide high-quality care. This professional must possess an in-depth understanding of the cardiovascular system to obtain diagnostic images and prepare preliminary reports for Cardiologist review.
Candidates must complete a CAAAHEP accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program or have equivalent clinical experience, with students needing to be within 60 days of graduation to be eligible. Required certifications include ARDMS-RDCS, ARRT-S, ARRT-CI, or CCI-RCS within 12 months of hire, along with current BLS or CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
