Evaluates pediatric and select adult patients to develop and administer individualized physical therapy treatment plans. Responsibilities include fabricating adaptive equipment, documenting patient progress, and providing education to families and staff.
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy and a valid State of Ohio licensure. CPR certification is required, and one year of pediatric experience is preferred.

Summary: Evaluates pediatric and select adult patients for physical therapy due to injury or disease and administers treatment. Fabricates or recommends adaptive equipment and splints, documents evaluation results or patient progress, and provides patient and family education.
Essential Functions: Attends continuing education programs and participates in departmental in-service training programs to enhance professional development including participation in EBP. Conducts Physical Therapy educational programs for hospital staff, students, and community. Delegates to students from accredited programs, licensed physical therapist assistants, and unlicensed personnel, supervising care provided. Develops and administers therapeutic treatment to patients with developmental delay or functional deficits to provide optimal development, function, and independence. Utilizes developmental activities, modalities, and other treatment techniques to meet each patient’s specific needs and achieve therapy goals, observes, and modifies treatment plan accordingly. Documents as appropriate and in compliance with requirements of the hospital and accrediting associations. Maintains the administrative functions of individual caseload, including scheduling, entering daily charges, and submitting timely documentation. Educates on treatment goals and therapy plans, instructs on therapeutic activities to follow at home, and evaluates ongoing compliance and understanding. Fabricates, recommends, or provides adaptive equipment, splints, or casts to maintain functional body joint positions, restrict muscle contractures, prevent deformities, and improve function or mobility. Fits patient and instructs on use of item. Evaluates patients with varied diagnoses to determine developmental or functional status using standardized measures or clinical observations. Identifies patient’s strengths and deficits, establishes goals, and develops an individualized treatment plan. Education Requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, required. Licensure Requirement: State of Ohio licensure in physical therapy, required.
CPR certification no later than 60 days post hire or post expiration, required.
