Must have an associate's degree from a CAAHEP-accredited program and OB/Gyn ARDMS board certification. CPR/BLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
A Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Sonographer is a highly skilled imaging professional who performs complex diagnostic and procedural ultrasound examinations in collaboration with Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians. This role involves advanced imaging of high-risk pregnancies, intrauterine interventions, and fetal diagnostic procedures requiring expert-level sonographic and critical thinking skills.
The MFM sonographer provides care for patients referred for detailed anatomic evaluation, fetal surveillance and fetal therapy. This position requires mastery of fetal and maternal anatomy, pathophysiology, and embryologic development, as well as the ability to adapt imaging approaches for rare or critical fetal conditions. The role also includes teaching responsibilities, interdepartmental collaboration, and ongoing integration of emerging imaging technologies.
