The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner provides psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy to behavioral health patients within a correctional facility. Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, managing emergent problems, and collaborating with staff on treatment plans.
Candidates must be a licensed APRN or PA with at least one year of clinical nursing practice in a behavioral health setting. A degree from an accredited NP/PA program and current state licensure are required.

Psychiatric nurse practitioner / Aprn / Physician assistant position summary
The Psychiatric APRN or PA is responsible for providing psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy to behavioral health patients. The Psych APRN has no managerial responsibilities in the facility's behavioral health program.
