Requires an active Texas NP or PA license with appropriate board certification (ANCC/AANP for NP, NCCPA for PA) and a DEA license. Candidates must have BLS certification and the ability to treat patients of all ages.

We are seeking a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team in San Antonio, TX. This role is ideal for a clinician who values variety, autonomy, and meaningful patient care in a fast-paced, well-supported urgent care environment.
Part-time clinicians are asked to work a minimum of 4 shifts per month, with opportunities to cover additional shifts when needed. Schedules are built in advance based on clinic needs and provider availability.

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing, splinting, wound care, and other procedures as applicable Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR Code and bill services appropriately Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values
Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience Strong procedural skills, including suturing, splinting, and wound care Experience with initial x-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-read Comfort practicing independently in a fast-paced setting
