The Role We are seeking a high-energy, organized, and clinically savvy Case Manager to join our inpatient team. This is a fast-paced role specifically designed for a professional who thrives in a hospital or residential clinical setting. Unlike field based case management, this position is centered on the immediate, high-acuity needs of clients in the early stages of detox and short-term residential care. You will be the "glue" that holds the client’s treatment episode together, managing everything from the clinical documentation to the delicate interpersonal work of keeping a client engaged when they feel like leaving.

Integration: Actively participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings to develop and update individualized service plans.

AMA
Blocking: Use clinical intervention and rapport-building skills to de-escalate clients and prevent "Against Medical Advice" (AMA) discharges, ensuring they stay for the full course of necessary treatment.
Family
Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for families, providing regular progress updates and coordinating their involvement in the recovery process.
Administrative
Oversight: Maintain meticulous organization of client personal information, legal documentation, and personal property.
Resource
Coordination: Streamline internal transitions (Detox to Residential) and coordinate external referrals for legal aid, medical care, or long-term aftercare.
Compliance
Maintain timely, high-quality documentation in our EHR system in accordance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
QualificationsQualifications
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience specifically within an inpatient detox or residential treatment facility. We are looking for candidates comfortable with the pace of a facility setting rather than community-based/home-visit experience.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.

Management: Proven ability to provide "on-the-spot" crisis intervention and problem-solving.
Communication
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive family dynamics and difficult client behaviors with empathy and professionalism.
