Companion staff

Breakthroughs LLC is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and friendly female staff to provide community-based services for an adult male with developmental disabilities in the Land O’ Lakes area. This individual is independent and enjoys participating in community outings and recreational activities such as going to the mall or shopping centers, consumer wants to work on his health and start going to the gym.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys providing companionship, promoting independence, and supporting meaningful community engagement.

Schedule Monday–Friday 10: 30 AM – 3:30 PM Approximately 25 hours per week

Responsibilities

Provide transportation to and from community activities and outings Support participation in recreational and social activities within the community Encourage independence while remaining available when support is needed Provide companionship and maintain a positive, professional environment Assist with community integration and engagement in preferred activities Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and reliability at all times

Position Details

Consumer prefers a female staff Consumer is friendly, social, and enjoys community outings Minimal physical assistance required No significant medical needs involved Community-based support role focused primarily on companionship and supervision

Requirements

Valid driver’s license Reliable transportation Current car insurance and vehicle registration High school diploma or GED CPR and First Aid certification Medication Validation certification Ability to pass a Level 2 background screening Required Train.org trainings must be completed prior to assignment Compassionate, dependable, and patient demeanor Experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities preferred, but not required

Pay $17/hour No gas reimbursement provided
