Responsible for providing direct and indirect nursing care to patients, including assessment, planning, and implementation of care plans. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and educating patients and their families.
Requires a degree from an accredited registered nursing program and a current, unrestricted North Carolina or Multi-State RN license. BLS certification is required, with additional de-escalation and pediatric stabilization training to be completed within specific timeframes.
A registered professional nurse employed by Erlanger Health is responsible for direct and/or indirect care of the patient.
Required: Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
Preferred: Graduate of an Accredited four year Nursing Program (BSN)
Experience: Required:
One year medical/surgical acute care experience.
The Nurse Licensure Compact will not change how to obtain or renew a North Carolina license. However, the North Carolina nursing license will be a single state license for North Carolina Residents or non-compact state residents. North Carolina licensure or multistate licensure from a compact state must be obtained within three months of hire for non-North Carolina residents.
