Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including triage, assessment, and emergency interventions. Coordinate with physicians and supervise nursing staff while maintaining accurate EMR documentation.
Requires a valid RN license and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS/ENPC. Candidates must have at least one year of acute care experience specifically in an ER setting.
Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department during night shift, including triage, assessment, monitoring, and interventions. Monitor patient condition, vital signs, and telemetry; respond rapidly to changes. Communicate patient status, diagnostic results, and treatment plans with physicians and the care team. Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency interventions per orders and protocols. Supervise and coordinate LVNs/LPNs and nursing assistants as needed. Maintain accurate EMR documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards. Ensure EMTALA compliance and report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies. Participate in emergency response, trauma resuscitation, and critical care stabilization. Support patient safety initiatives and evidence-based emergency nursing practices.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Current and valid state RN License.2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. Current ACLS certificate required upon hire and maintain current. 4. Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC required upon hire and maintain current. 5. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation required upon hire. 6. Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting required.7. Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.8.
