Perform mammographic exams and related diagnostic procedures while rotating between the center and the Mobile Mammography Van. Organize clinical staff orientation and maintain professional relationships with physicians and patients.
Requires an Associate's degree or equivalent experience along with BLS, ARRT, and RHM certifications. One to two years of related experience is preferred.
EDUCATION Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma. Associate's or equivalent education/experience CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider ARRT - Radiography - American Register of Radiologic Technologists RHM-Radiology Mammography PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN: One to two years related experience and/or training SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Excellent knowledge of mammography, sterile technique, and basic patient monitoring. Understands supplies used for core biopsy , localizations, and other related procedures. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra preferred. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standard ization exists.
