The Clinical Psych RN provides clinical supervision and coordination to nursing staff while participating in interdisciplinary treatment teams. They also deliver psychotherapeutic services and lead psycho-educational groups.
Candidates must be graduates of an approved nursing school and hold a current nursing license in North Carolina. A Master's Degree or higher and current BLS/ACLS certification are also required.
Description (PRN) as needed
Provide clinical supervision, coordination and technical guidance to other nursing staff and, may participate on and/or coordinate interdisciplinary treatment teams composed of medical and mental health professionals
Demonstrates and teaches principles of nursing process including: bio-psychosocial assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care. Provides psychotherapeutic services to clients such as individual, group and family counseling and consultation. Leads psycho-educational groups Investigates patient complaints. Acts as patient advocate. Determines treatment effectiveness. Works individually with nursing staff to identify options and plans for difficult patients or to provide technical training Makes recommendations and assists with the development of action plans to improve nursing care
Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing Current licensure in the state of North Carolina Master’s Degree or higher from an accredited U.S. college or university Current BLS/ACLS certification
