Provide comprehensive healthcare and primary care to oncology patients, including administering treatments and managing side effects. Collaborate with physicians to coordinate patient care and provide education and support to patients and their families.
Requires a Master of Science in Nursing, a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, and certification as a Nurse Practitioner with at least three years of nursing experience. Candidates must have two years of oncology experience and hold a valid New York State nursing license.

Master of Science Degree in Nursing with an accredited Nurse Practitioner curriculum and three years of nursing experience.
Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing, and from a recognized college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and Master’s Degree in a health related field and certification as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program and, in addition, three years of nursing experience.
Two years’ experience in Oncology
B. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Attributes: Thorough knowledge of current nursing techniques and procedures;
Knowledge of the New York State Practice Act, the American Nurses Association
Standards and the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Hospital Standards, particularly as they apply to the Nurse Practitioner, knowledge of the principles of patient education; ability to collaborate with physicians and other health care professionals in the development of primary health care.
1. Current valid license to practice nursing in New York State 2. Certification as ANP, FNP or PNP with prescriptive privileges by New York State 3. ANA certification in Adult or Family Practice preferred 4. ONC certification 5. Chemotherapy certification
