The Registered Polysomnographic Technologist provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders through in-center and out-of-center testing. Responsibilities include performing physiological calibrations, scoring sleep/wake stages, and implementing therapeutic interventions like positive airway pressure.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and be credentialed as a Registered Polysomnographer (RPSGT), Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS), or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST). BLS certification and completion of an accredited sleep technology program or equivalent experience are required.
