Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to obtain CPR and SAMA certifications. Clinical experience in a behavioral healthcare or psychiatric hospital setting is preferred.
Georgetown Behavioral Health Institute (GBHI) is a 118-bed acute care psychiatric hospital offering comprehensive mental healthcare programs and services in Georgetown for adults, teens, and seniors. In addition to offering inpatient acute care services, we provide outpatient programs that help support patients as they discharge or as an alternative to hospitalization. Our hospital provides a safe environment staffed by caring and highly educated professionals where we support a person-centered treatment program that promotes stabilization and healing.
Our Mental Health Technicians provide high quality care to patients who are hospitalized with psychiatric or emotional disorders. Mental Health Technicians must support the hospital program philosophy of care, support and ensure a therapeutic milieu for all patients, communicate with nursing staff constantly, and participate in the patient plan of care as assigned.
