The Respiratory Therapist provides logistical support and clinical care within the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Department. Responsibilities include assessing, monitoring, and treating patients through individualized exercise programs and disease management.
Candidates must hold a valid state license and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and PALS, along with clinical experience in outpatient testing.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide logistical support for the operations of the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Department. The Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Respiratory Therapist is responsible for assessing, educating, monitoring, and treating patients enrolled in pulmonary and/or cardiac rehabilitation programs. This role focuses on improving patients’ respiratory and cardiovascular health through individualized exercise programs, patient education, disease management, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The therapist promotes safe exercise participation, monitors patient response to therapy, and supports long-term lifestyle modification.
