Assists residents with medications following the six rights of administration and maintains accurate Medication Observation Records. Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations while providing required treatments and monitoring for adverse reactions.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and state-specific training with at least one year of experience. Preference is given to candidates with backgrounds in long-term care, geriatric nursing, or emergency care.
Assists with medications and maintains compliance with all state and federal regulations and the standards of HRA.
Requirements: Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent with state specific training required for the position Must obtain valid Continuing Education credits as required by the state (if applicable) Minimum of one (1) year experience Experience in a long-care community and/or geriatric nursing preferred Experience in emergency care and first-aid preferred Good working knowledge of Medication Observation Record (MOR) Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, associates, residents, family members, and outside contacts Clerical and typing skills including typing, data entry, filing, etc. required Experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook software preferred Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology preferred Able to make independent decisions Must possess a passion to work with and around senior citizens Background Screening Requirement In all Florida Companies, this position requires a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
