The
Recovery
Coach is responsible for: Promoting recovery and removes barriers and obstacles to recovery. Serving as a personal guide and mentor for people seeking or already in recovery from an addiction to alcohol and/or other drugs. Modeling recovery principles and practices at all times. Providing linkages to recovery-oriented, peer support self-help supports and services and community-based mental health, substance use disorder, and family support programs. Serving as a liaison between the recovery community, the addiction treatment system, the medical treatment system, and the member’s community, family, and social context to facilitate connections across systems of care QualificationsQualifications Achievement of a minimum of 2 years of uninterrupted recovery required achievement of 3-5 years of uninterrupted recovery preferred. Recovery coach certification required within the first 12 months of employment. Ability to use an Electronic Health Record to document medically necessary clinical services. Strong skills in the areas of communication, follow through, collaboration, and customer service. Ability to read and write English and communicate effectively in the primary language of the program to which he/she is assigned. Must hold a valid driver’s license. Must have access to a safe, operational, and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport participants.
