The HIM Assistant is responsible for reviewing and maintaining accurate patient medical records and performing quality assurance on scanned documents within the EHR system. They also ensure complete admission and discharge documentation while supporting physicians with record updates and audits.
Candidates should have a high school diploma and preferably 1-3 years of experience in medical records or health information. Preferred certifications include CCS, CCA, or CPC-A, along with knowledge of ICD-10-CM and EHR systems.
