The Surgical Assistant provides patient care before, during, and after surgery. The primary goal is to perform tasks that enable the surgeon to complete operations safely and efficiently.
Requires a High School Diploma/GED, completion of a formal surgical assisting program, and BLS certification. Candidates must have at least one year of experience and obtain a recognized Surgical Assistant certification within twelve months.
