Provide specialized care for adult patients with cancer and hematological disorders, including assessing patient status and assisting with procedures. Manage administrative tasks such as processing prescription refills, scheduling referrals, and documenting patient information in electronic records.
Requires a Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license, Basic Life Support certification, and at least one year of clinical experience. A bachelor's degree and oncology certification (OCN) are preferred, with OCN required within 18 months of hire.
Fairview Health Services is searching for a hardworking RN who is looking for an exciting career in our Cancer Clinic in Woodbury, Minnesota campus! This position is approved for hours 80 hours every two weeks and we believe the schedule will be Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Provides care appropriate to adult patients with cancer and hematological disorders. Assess data reflective of the patient's status, and interprets appropriate information needed to identify each patient's needs in relation to age and to provide the care needed as described. Assists with procedures and assessing lab values as needed and directed by providers. Processes and documents prescription refill requests promptly and accurately. Uses appropriate systems to obtain patient information or assist with scheduling. Assists with scheduling referrals as directed by the provider. Releases patient information from the electronic medical record to the appropriate recipient according to HealthEast policy. Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards. Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements. Performs other responsibilities as needed/assigned. Required Qualifications 1 year clinical experience Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) MN Registered Nurse (RN) License
B.S./B.A. 2 years oncology experience Oncology Certified Nurse OCN required within 18 months within 1-1/2 Yr
