The Care Navigator conducts initial assessments and introduces patients to Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) programs. They serve as a primary coach and link patients from the hospital to community services including mental health and residential treatment.
An associate's degree in a healthcare-related field and two years of experience in a drug treatment environment are required. A bachelor's degree in substance abuse, crisis management, or counseling is preferred.
