Interns are expected to work under the direct supervision of a licensed technologist in the Department of Imaging. They may also be required to work in other areas as dictated by the facility's needs.
Candidates must be in or have recently completed an AMA accredited Imaging Program and are expected to obtain full certification and licensure upon graduation. Basic computer skills and BLS certification within 14 days of hire are also required.
Interns must be in or have recently completed an AMA accredited Imaging Program. The Intern is expected to have gained full certification and licensure at the time of graduation, or have such temporary credentials as are accepted by the State of New Mexico Licensing Agencies. If Temporary Credentials are obtained, then Full Credentials are expected to be obtained in the time frame dictated by the State of New Mexico. Ongoing or completed formal education in an imaging-related field. Basic computer skills. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
