We currently have an opening for a Sonographer Ultrasound Tech to join our team in Lexington, KY.
This position must be able to utilize ultrasound equipment to locate, evaluate and record pertinent anatomical, pathological and functional data, using ultrasound equipment to aid the physician in the diagnosis of disease and injury.
Demonstrates the ability to meet the needs and provide service to the pediatric population.
Competent in providing services for the culturally diverse population that Shriners Children's serves.
Schedule
M-F; 20 hours a week.
Responsibilities
Maintains and monitors quality assessment practices and procedures to ensure appropriate and proper patient care Accurately interprets oral and written requests stated in radiologic and medical terms Notifies imaging manager of equipment malfunction and obtains necessary repairs. Performs other operational functions, in support of assigned department to ensure quality services Assists in maintaining imaging files to ensure easy irretrievability in a timely manner. Successfully scans and records ultrasound images of the patient’s anatomy, as ordered by the physician Assists in the preparation of images for interpretation and imaging reports.
