Salary
$19 - $25 / HOUR
Provide essential direct patient care, including assisting with activities of daily living and monitoring vital signs in the ER and ICU. Support clinical procedures under RN direction and maintain a safe, organized department environment.
Requires a high school diploma, an active Minnesota CNA certification, and BLS certification from the AHA. Experience in an inpatient medical/surgical setting is preferred.
Provide essential direct patient care including assisting with ADLs, personal care, feeding, and comfort measures, ensuring patient dignity and well-being. Monitor and document vital signs and other patient data (e.g., intake/output, weight), promptly reporting any significant changes to the nursing staff. Assist with patient mobility and transport, safely transferring and ambulating patients, and preparing them for examinations, procedures, and discharge. Support clinical procedures under RN direction, including basic wound care, specimen collection, and assisting with application of medical devices. Maintain an organized and safe Emergency Department environment, including stocking supplies, cleaning equipment, and ensuring unit readiness. Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, communicating patient needs, supporting rapid patient flow, and adhering to all safety and hospital policies. Job Requirements Required High school Diploma or equivalent Active Certified Nursing Assistant from the state of Minnesota Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) to be obtained within 30 Days Preferred Experience in inpatient medical/surgical setting
